MEET LAURA - OUR CO-FOUNDER & ADVANCED LASER SPECIALIST
Laura Rogers is the co-founder, Joint CEO and Managing Director of Erase That Ink, which she founded alongside her sister, Ceri. As an Advanced Laser Specialist, Laura also remains hands-on in the clinic, delivering professional laser treatments to clients in Newton Abbot and across Devon.
Although much of her time is now dedicated to running and growing Erase That Ink, staying connected to clients and treatments remains extremely important to Laura. As the clinic continues to develop, she is committed to maintaining the personal approach that has been at the heart of the business from the beginning.
A PASSION FOR CONFIDENCE & LASER TECHNOLOGY
For Laura, working with lasers has always been about helping people feel more confident in their own skin.
Concerns such as an unwanted tattoo, unwanted hair, pigmentation or visible thread veins can affect someone's confidence for years. Being able to help clients address those concerns and see how they feel as their results develop is one of the most rewarding parts of Laura's role.
She is equally passionate about the technical side of the industry. Laser technology and treatment techniques continue to evolve, offering new opportunities to expand her knowledge and enhance the experience she provides to clients.
QUALIFICATIONS & PROFESSIONAL TRAINING
Continued professional development is particularly important to Laura. She has undertaken advanced laser education and continues to build on her knowledge as both a practitioner and clinic owner.
Her qualifications, training and professional experience include:

Level 4 qualification in laser

Currently completing her Level 5 laser qualification, having completed the practical element and most assignments

Member of the British Medical Laser Association (BMLA)

Advanced experience across multiple laser treatments

International live treatment demonstration experience with InMode
Laura was invited to Rome by InMode, where she was one of only two practitioners selected to perform a live treatment demonstration in front of doctors and surgeons from around the world.
She has also been invited to showcase treatments in Bangkok, reflecting how her professional experience has extended well beyond the Newton Abbot clinic.

Tattoo removal will always be particularly important to Laura because it played such a significant role in the beginnings of Erase That Ink.
However, she also enjoys the variety that comes from working across different laser treatments. One of her favourite parts of being a practitioner is seeing a client's reaction when they begin noticing a difference and knowing she has helped them address something they may have wanted to change for a long time.

Laura believes education and honesty are essential when delivering laser treatments.
For someone who has never experienced laser treatment before, not knowing what to expect can make an appointment feel daunting. She takes time to explain the treatment process, answer questions and discuss what can realistically be achieved before proceeding.
There is never an expectation that a consultation must lead to treatment. Instead, Laura wants clients to have the information they need to make their own informed decision.
Her priority is for every client to feel comfortable, listened to and confident about what their treatment involves.
BUILDING ERASE THAT INK WITH TRUST AT ITS HEART
Laura and Ceri have built Erase That Ink from the ground up, and creating a clinic that people can genuinely trust has always been central to their approach.
Rather than simply selling treatments, Laura believes in understanding the individual, assessing what they would like to achieve and recommending an appropriate approach based on realistic expectations.
That approach has helped the clinic develop a reputation extending beyond Newton Abbot and Devon. Erase That Ink has now received four industry awards, welcomes clients who travel significant distances for treatment and receives professional referrals, including from permanent make-up artists.
For Laura, that trust is one of the clinic's greatest achievements.

She believes clients value her straightforward and honest approach.
She doesn't want to make unrealistic promises simply to encourage someone to book. Instead, she explains what she believes can realistically be achieved and makes sure clients understand the treatment and the journey involved.
Positive feedback about the experience itself is just as meaningful to Laura as treatment results. She is particularly proud to have developed her own five-star rating as a laser technician, based on feedback from the clients she personally treats.
Building relationships with returning clients is also one of the aspects of clinic life she enjoys most.
FROM NEWTON ABBOT TO THE INTERNATIONAL LASER INDUSTRY
Newton Abbot is where Laura and Ceri built Erase That Ink, and Laura is proud of how the business has grown while maintaining its local roots.
What began as a local clinic now attracts clients from much further afield and has provided Laura with opportunities to demonstrate her expertise internationally.
Despite that growth, the connection with Newton Abbot and Devon remains important to her. Laura is proud to represent the area within the wider laser and aesthetics industry while continuing to treat clients at the clinic personally.
OUTSIDE THE CLINIC
Life outside Erase That Ink is just as busy for Laura. Alongside running the business with Ceri, she is a single mum and also works as a Finance Business Partner for Teignbridge Council.
When she gets the opportunity to switch off, she loves being outdoors and taking on new challenges.

Laura has recently climbed Snowdon and Pen y Fan, and enjoys having something challenging to focus on away from the clinic and office.
