TARGETED PIGMENTATION REMOVAL FOR CLEARER, MORE EVEN-LOOKING SKIN
Pigmentation can appear for several reasons, including sun exposure, hormones, genetics, and natural ageing. Brown spots, freckles, and age spots can make the skin look uneven, especially on visible areas such as the face, hands, chest, and shoulders.
Laser pigmentation removal works by directing light energy into the darker pigment within the skin. The pigment absorbs this energy, heats up, and breaks into smaller particles. These particles are then naturally cleared by the body over time.
The goal is to reduce the appearance of unwanted pigmentation while keeping the surrounding skin protected.
HOW QUANTA Q PLUC C RUBY LASER PIGMENTATION REMOVAL WORKS
Our Quanta Q Plus C Ruby Laser is designed to treat pigmentation and help lighten areas of excess colour in the skin.
It is effective for reducing the appearance of brown spots and age spots caused by sun exposure, genetics, and hormonal changes.
Precise Laser Energy
The laser targets pigment within the skin rather than treating the whole surrounding area. This makes it a precise option for localised pigmentation concerns.
Natural Clearance by the Body
Once the pigment absorbs the laser energy and breaks down, the body gradually removes the fragmented particles through its natural processes.
Minimal Downtime
Most clients can return to normal daily activities quickly, although aftercare is important. You will need to protect the treated area from sun exposure and follow the advice given by your practitioner.
For post-treatment guidance, view our laser aftercare advice.

WHAT TO EXPECT BEFORE YOUR TREATMENT
A consultation and test patch are required 48 hours before pigmentation laser removal. This helps us assess your skin, confirm suitability, explain the process, and check how your skin responds.
Please note: The initial pigmentation consultation and test patch has a £20 late cancellation or no-show fee only.
Before treatment, we recommend:
-
Avoiding direct sun exposure before and after your appointment
-
Wearing high-factor SPF 50+ when outdoors
-
Avoiding other laser or cosmetic skin treatments for at least two weeks before treatment
-
Avoiding fake tan and tanning products before your appointment
-
Telling us about any relevant medication, skin conditions, or recent treatments

OUR PIGMENTATION REMOVAL PROCESS
STEP 1: CONSULTATION
We assess your pigmentation, discuss your skin history, explain expected outcomes, and confirm whether laser treatment is appropriate.
STEP 2: PATCH TEST
A patch test is carried out 48 hours before treatment. This is an important safety step before proceeding.
STEP 3: LASER TREATMENT
During treatment, controlled laser pulses are applied to the pigmented area. You may feel a short snapping or warming sensation.
STEP 4: AFTERCARE
After treatment, we provide clear aftercare advice. Sun protection is especially important, as UV exposure can worsen pigmentation and affect healing. NHS guidance stresses the importance of sun protection and sunscreen use for reducing UV damage, which you can read on the NHS sunscreen and sun safety page.
